EXCELLED AT WHAT SHE DID

I recently read this excelled description in a book and came away with the question. Where is the proof?

Excelled is not a word to throw out randomly. On the contrary, it is a serious word.

“Excel” to surpass others and do exceptionally well. Way out of the ordinary, scads more than was required, overboard in more. (the last three definitions are from Marleen’s dictionary).

For reference, I looked around at the activity of people familiar to me who I believe have overcome challenges and stayed true to their commitments. You might be encouraged to say they excelled.

Amanda is sightless and independent.
Carol Ann is a caretaker and dependable.
Lynn, facilitator of medical and physical care.
Jim, program developer of International Studies.
Theresa, getting it right every time, government contracts.
Frank, people.

I brought the excelled story to my attention, and when I did, I saw accomplishments in people close to me that I had glossed over.

Reading about a person who excels is easy. Looking around and discovering the people around me that excel, wow! A valuable exercise is seeing what is right before me.

And the proof? The action of doing it again, over, the second, third, or many times, patience, commitment, pain, loss, love, and caring.
