WHEN RED MEANS GO

I am in the midst of a Life Lesson in moving forward to achieve goals.

One minute I figure out that the best possible forward movement is GREEN — GO, make the purchase, and then RED- STOP sneaks up.

The opportunity before me fits the lifestyle and life choices I admire in many ways. On the outside, it is perfect. And with a few years of commitment, the buying decision might even be spectacular!

Be the RED is causing some trepidation and hesitation. And a few “what ifs” that keep me up at night.

What I know is that I want this in my life. I want to grow past who I am today, add more choices to the people I work with, and expand my reach.

I rack my brain, asking why I feel a RED when I know GREEN is what matters most. The little secret I recognize is that making this buy decision will test me and cause activity where I must expand past my perfectly contented comfort zone.

Ah, scary.

The decision is alive, front and center in my thoughts, so much so that I wake up with a big RED, as in a flashing stop sign. I guess you could say this choice is running rampant in my brain.

There has been a lot of assessment and calculation, writing lists, speaking with others, and answering doubts.

GREEN is smiling a go-ahead.

Today I decided to make pesty RED into GREEN. I signed the purchase and am excitedly looking ahead to what might be.

RED became GREEN, and so happy it did.
